Why bother making a website?

I am here trying to give a gift to myself for celebrating my 23rd birthday. I have been thinking a lot about making a site for me so I can jot down my chaotic thoughts. A way to practice structuring my mind too. Especially when the place where I work at is not really that structured…

I used to blog online in Medium platform. It’s pretty simple for a starter, but lack of control. I cannot achieve broader audience. I cannot tinker so much around my site.

Questioning things is my favorite thing to do, definitely after observing it first. In detail. I can get into the very detail because of the skill I somehow pick up when I learn to illustrate deliberately. I like to have a synthesize of things that I observe. Looking for patterns that arise. Compare and contrast. This is in short is… research. Hahaha, yes I love to understand things better.

I have been learning a lot of thing during these current years, in which I did not expect. Thanks to the social environment! I think we can save a lot of effort to learn just by putting ourselves within the environment that support learning to happen.

For me, that’s a productive campus life and a startup. These two places are where I stumbled upon lately. And both of them came up by coincidences. Thanks, Lady Luck!

Oh. I should not forget Twitter. That chaotic place is where I reside mostly. Seeing people argue over strawman, being hurt by strangers, picking a fight with a stranger. Oh boy, who wanna miss that? Twitter really sharpens my mind.

All other pages should be more professional than this, though. But this is my first post, and I think it’s great to have a crappy first post so readers won’t have a very demanding expectation, ha! Nah, I am just tired of faking good. That’s it.

If you read until this point, congratulations! My next writings may resonate well with you too, then. Please, enjoy your time.

I will just close this with my favorite quotes:

“It’s never a waste of time if you learned something.”
