Have you ever:
- Been irritated easily by small things that are overlooked by others
- Not able to control how you feel
- Felt so low and cannot find ways to resolve that
I used to experience all of those. I found an app that I have used for almost half-year that helped me improve myself. It’s called Daylio.
This app is really great! The problem that it tries to solve is lack of self-awareness. When you are not aware of how you feel day-to-day, you will not have the control of your life.
Especially if you are someone who likes a more quantitative approach, this app is for you. Daylio provides you with statistics, weekly, monthly, and even yearly. I love looking at the graphs.
It also correlates which activities are frequently together with certain moods. So you can dive deeper to find which activity that enlighten your mood and which one is the mood-breaker.
It’s pretty easy, with push-notifications that will alert you to fill in your entries, and no need to write; only choose certain moods, you are able to record your day.
After knowing how your mood is affected by things you do regularly, you can then act on it. If studying is usually accompanied by negative emotions, then you know something problematic is there. Maybe the material is too difficult, or you don’t use any specific method hence you spend more time without result, or something else.
If drinking coffee brings positive emotions (like me), then that activity can be used as a “mood-booster.” It’s like a power-up hahaha. Whenever I am having a bad mood that needs a quick-fix, I will grab a coffee. (Yes I am aware of the addiction).
I always remember that quote which more or less says: identifying problem correctly already solves half of the problem itself. Daylio helps me to do that. Hope this review is helpful!

Feeling of accomplishment is there whenever I look back at the yearly result 🙂
